Venturing into unestablished green businesses in +254🇰🇪

HELP, MY OCEAN IS TURNING RED”…that’s the alleged sentiment echoed by most managers globally according to W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne, authors of “Blue Ocean Strategy”. The Gospel they preach enables any business to step up to the challenge of creating blue oceans in an Opportunity-Maximizing, Risk-Minimizing kinda way.

Well, I ain’t no manager, YET. And being the wannabe Environmentalist that I am, currently in the process of setting up a sustainable business in Kenya, I’m looking for a silver bullet in the form of a “Green Ocean Strategy”.

Pressing questions currently in my head:

1.How do I structure and align an unknown startup’s (Desahara FZE) activities around the proverbial “Green Ocean Strategy”?

2.What will I eventually do when our Green Ocean gets contaminants that turn it into a “Red Ocean”?

3.What can I do from the beginning that will help our business avoid the “Red Ocean Traps”?

4.Why is Desahara’s Ocean “Green”?🤔
